The initial plan is to ship a vehicle into Nambiia and then head off to revisit places and experiences I've enjoyed some more and to see some new ones.
Initially, the plan is to eventually head North and store the vehicle somewhere around Arusha before returning to the UK to recharge batteries etc.Johnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09315418836338613658noreply@blogger.comBlogger3125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6088197038443413299.post-54020610636921332022012-05-01T15:19:00.001-07:002012-07-16T02:53:17.457-07:00. . . . and he's not

Due to unforeseen circumstances - I've had part of my gut cut out, my trip to Africa in 2012 has been put on hold. It won't happen this year but hopefully will be resurrected in 2013.
My flights are now booked and paid for :
Early July : Birmingham - Frankfurt - Jo'berg - Walvis Baai with the Luftwaffe, sorry Lufthansa.
Mid September : Nairobi - Geneva - Birmingham with Swiss Air.

The bit in between - the where and the how is still a bit hazy.
Watch this space !
Johnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09315418836338613658noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6088197038443413299.post-65305311142056924452011-08-09T06:19:00.000-07:002011-12-09T06:20:55.589-08:00Sorry - I have to go back
The initial plans are to ship a 4x4 back to southern Africa and wander around for a couple of months. There are many places I've not visited and a number I'd love to revisit - who knows where the road will take me !

New places that are on the list include the primates in Uganda/CAR/Rwanda and Gombe Stream, Ruaha and Selous in Tanzania. Perhaps, if I leave the 4x4 with friends in Tanzania, I may return to explore the arid Northern parts of Kenya.

There's also the possibility of assisting Desert Elephant researchers in Namibia.
Johnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09315418836338613658noreply@blogger.com0
